This group of girls has been a major part in getting me this far in college. Their support and encouragement have helped me keep pressing on, and their accountability has kept me on the road I want to stay on, and my focus on the things that truly matter in this life. Who is this cutie? This is my precious little sister, Kelis! She's five years old and loves to play at the park and eat ice cream. I am a member of the Big Brother/Big Sister program, and it is one of the most amazing things I could have done as a college student! It is so easy to join, and I can guarantee you it will be one of the most fulfilling things you'll ever do. Being a part of something like this helps me to see the bigger picture, and to see past myself and my own selfish wants and cares. Knowing that Kelis needs someone to look up to and needs someone who provides consistency in her life helps me to understand why doing this is so important. There are so many kids out there, just like Kelis, who need a consistent figure in their life. This could make the difference of their future and what choices they make later on down the road.
